2006 Botond CuvéeWe have been producing this style of wine since 1999 as a domain, blended wine from 3 grape varietals. In 2006 30% Furmint, 40% Hárslevelű, 30% Yellow Muscat, totally 8000 bottles. It ferments with local `wild` yeasts in 300 litre 2-3 year old Hungarian oak barrels and ages here also for 9 months. It develops well in the bottle for 4-5 years, being more complex then the Muscat will be covered slowly by the typical Tokaj aromas like: mushrooms, apricot jam, plum, raisins, quince. Since 60% of the berries were botrytized the result was a higher sugar content, bigger body and more richness. Price: 40 €

1998 AszúThis was a difficult year with a moderately hot summer and long rainy autumn. Much Botrytis, good acidity, medium body, a lot of fruits. `Traditional` aromas with a lot of caramel, coffee, chocolate, tobacco, mushrooms, plum jam. Now it became rounded, the aftertaste is more refined, but still needs some time to develop. It is very good with goose liver, blue cheese, cigar or simply alone in itself after dinner. Price: 68 €

2003 AszúIn 2003 after a hot summer we had an early vintage though it ended only in late November. We could harvest superb aszú berries from Lapis vineyard and botrytized and shrivelled berries of almost perfect quality from Úrágya, Szent Tamás and Szepsy vineyards into the base wine. A relatively high acidity with crispness and flavour of many fruits and unquestionable minerality. Complexity and above all good balance characterize this wine, which has only started to develop. Price: 80 €
